- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup dry red wine
- Dried oregano
- Dried thyme
- Bay leaves
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 3 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
- Milk
- Butter for mashed potatoes
- Fresh parsley for garnish

- Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until browned on all sides.
