  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden; let cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  8. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla until fluffy.
  9. Pipe frosting onto cooled cookies and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon before serving.
