  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently; avoid overmixing.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into an 8-inch round disk; cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place scones on the baking sheet with space in between and bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth; drizzle over cooled scones.
