  • 8 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water until al dente; drain.
  3. In a large bowl, mix tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cooked noodles, peas, half the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  5. Combine panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and set aside.
  6. Top the casserole with remaining cheddar cheese followed by the buttered breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
